Indiana UPA June Meeting

The next meeting of the Indiana Chapter of Usability Professionals Association will be Monday, June 9, at 6:30pm at Indesign, located at 8225 E. 56th Street on the northeast side of Indianapolis.  Please note the change from our regular time.  Attendees are welcome to arrive any time after 6:00pm for meet-and-greet time, and the meeting will start at 6:30pm.  For a map, go to http://www.indesign-llc.com/indesign_location.asp.  Everyone with an interest in usability is welcome to attend. The front door is typically locked when the meeting starts.  If you arrive late, ring the doorbell.

Two topics for the meeting:
1. Plans for an Indiana roundtable or speaker’s bureau to spread information about usability to interested groups.  A number of possibilities were discussed during our April meeting.  We are looking for input from both sides:  What information can be conveyed by usability professionals to those with a need for, but limited or no experience with, “design for usability?” What questions do people have who want to learn more about usability?  Feel free to bring examples to share.

2. Plans for the Indiana UPA event for World Usability Day 2008.  The date is set: Thursday, November 13.  The topic is set: Transportation.  The location is set:  The new Campus Center at IUPUI.  What we need to develop now are the event activities – presentations, group activities, poster sessions, etc.  If you have suggestions for presenters, topics, or activities related to usability and transportation, please attend or send me ideas and I will forward them to the to-be-formed program committee.

Venue: Indesign, located at 8225 E. 56th Street on the northeast side of Indianapolis
