Description: In early September 2006, a survey was conducted of the membership of the Indiana Chapter of STC. The survey instrument was written by members of the chapter executive board. SurveyMonkey.com, a Web-based survey management system, was used to program, disseminate, and collect the surveys. Eighty-nine survey invitations were emailed to all the members of the Indiana chapter with an included hyperlink that directed the member to the online survey. Two reminder emails were sent out in the weeks following the initial invitation. In total, 36 members responded to the survey, a 40% response rate. As an added incentive, respondents were entered into a drawing for a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate. The data was coded and analyzed in accordance with standard market research practices.
